continuing my posts on the troubles in Iran

In the first video the people are demanding drinking water whilst (below) Iran is shipping 650,000 litres to Iraq every two days.

Here we see police using batons in the bazaar, which was closed for the first time in living memory. They are also responsible for wrecking motorbikes to make it appear as if the damage was perpetrated by rioters.
The shah was advised to leave Iran by the Americans, British and Russians who supported the revolution led by Ayatollah Khomeini.

A heavily laden beast. This man and his donkey represents happier times in the village of Zenuza, Iran.

Women wore elaborate clothes beneath the hijab, and many of the fashions were exquisite.

One of my amazing animal encounters was watching the grizzly bears fishing for salmon as they made their way upstream to spawn. These pictures were taken at Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park, Canada.

Duncan in Canada is renowned for its multicoloured cedar totems that appeared on corners and            in streets, parks and gardens.

Joining the protest, drivers formed a long line of empty trucks.

more pictures from my pleasant time in the now troubled country of Iran

Remarkable village of Kandovan, Iran, with homes excavated from tors of rock looming above stone-built dwellings with crude wooden doors.
This village was reminiscent of the Cappadocia area in Turkey.

Referring to the mullahs, in this film the crowd are shouting 'Our enemy is here', ostensibly exonerating America.
Here, trucks are disgorging bags of cement to block the roads.

another picture from my time in Iran

Timeless stone village of Palangan, Iran.
Whilst atmospheric, living conditions left a lot to be desired.
